Each class will cover a wide range of activities, including warm-up exercises, body awareness and coordination exercises, strength training, yoga and stretching, introduction to sports, ball games, dance routines, circuit training, gymnastics, obstacle courses, cooperative games, and more. By the end of the program, children will have developed a range of skills and confidence in their physical abilities while having fun and making new friends.

3D Animation w/ Blender & 3D Printing & CAD Software 6th-12th / 2PM to 2:55PM

Description:  Are you interested in a career in technology? Are you curious about working in fields like virtual reality, video game design, marketing, television and motion pictures, or digital imaging? If so, this course in 3D Modeling is a great place to start as it is the foundation for all these career paths. Gain a deeper understanding of graphic design and illustration as you use 3D animation software to create virtual three-dimensional design projects. The first semester we focus on learning and using specifically the software Blender to start exploring the world of 3D modeling. The second semester of class provides students with an introduction to both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional modeling using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and 3D Printing software. Students will work on multiple computer-based project challenges. This class will reinforce the importance of applying attention to detail on their designs and teach them how to bring their exported files to life using a 3D printer. Each student's final project will be 3D printed for them to share with friends and family, demonstrating what they have learned.

Description: This class applies practical engineering to “real life” scenarios! Do you know what to do if something goes wrong on your next outdoor excursion? During this class students will learn practical tips and strategies that every outdoor traveler should know. We'll cover all survival essentials and their practical applications. Students will also learn about emergency priorities, how to make an emergency shelter, how to locate and access drinking water, how to spot edible and poisonous plants, how to tie various useful knots, and how to start a fire! This class is project-based and teaches you how to stay safe while using everyday household material. We emphasize the fun in learning practical engineering tips for real life survival and those what-if scenarios!

Coding teaches students important computer science concepts such as conditionals, loops, variables, functions, user interfaces, and more, while teaching kids to build exciting projects. Software is the language of our time, and teaching students how to use it correctly will certainly come in handy.
